Since the Mobile World Congress 2016, speculations about HTC’s new flagship smartphone have started oozing out. Teasers were circulating from April last year but no concrete news was available. Finally, rumors have started making round, that HTC is likely to drop its One M from its flagship HTC One M10 and will probably replace the name name with HTC 10. This change in the brand name is definitely indicative of the fact that HTC is planning for a big leap forward.
Infamous leaker Evan Blass (aka @evleaks), who is back in his old form after prolonged silence tweeted the leaked news. He tweeted that new upcoming HTC flagship handset will not be called the HTC One M10 but will be referred as HTC 10. The same name related information has been furnished by another leaker @OnLeaks. @Onleaks confirmed and uploaded a screenshot in support of the news.
The exact reason behind renaming the flagship lineup is not yet known but it is being speculated that HTC will keep the One M tag for its mid range mobile devices like A9.
