Apple has released a new version of Safari exclusively for web developers. The Safari Technology preview, as it’s called will allow web developers to test out latest web technologies on this browser before the version hits the consumer version of Safari. Developers will be able to use the latest version of the powerful Web Inspector and Responsive Design Mode to modify, debug, and optimize your websites.
The new web developer version will provide an insight to the latest amelioration in Safari web technologies, including HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Safari Technology Preview also includes the latest version of WebKit, the engine that powers Safari. The preview version will update from time to time incorporating the most recent features and additions. Users will get Bug Reporter to send feedback directly to Apple about performance issues and bug removal and performance enhancement requests. Developers can send the request using Report an Issue from the Help menu in Safari Technology Preview.
A great aspect of the preview version is that it’s a standalone app that works side-by-side with the current version of Safari. This means you can continue to use the current release. other features offered to developers as suggested by Apple:
Surf seamlessly with iCloud. Safari Technology Preview works with iCloud, so you can access your latest Safari Favorites, bookmarks, and Reading List.
