For the first time ever, people who are not in the military forces have been able to understand how the inside of a B-2 Spirit bomber cockpit looks like as for the first time ever video cameras are permitted within any military jet.
Owing to the modern technologically advanced features used in the aircraft, the U.S. Air Force has allowed then the entry of outside viewers via a video footage to be recorded. The bat winged bomber, a part of the 13th Bomb Squadron of the 509th Bomb Wing, is reported to be using up an entire KC-135 Stratotanker for refuelling.
Many such unique features of this air bomber are available on the net. Such features keep the aircraft more stealthy and keeps it ready for use. The stealthy coating is made up of more than 250 materials. This was implemented to help minimize the aircraft’s radar signature. The B-2 uses both air and liquid means to keep the temperature cool from the heat generation due to the entrance of new power using resources.
A better detailing of several more features and also of the several factors that the U.S.A.F. personnel would take into consideration can also be seen via Google. The modular nature of the bombs is termed as “Mr Potato Head Bombs” by one munitions specialist, would indeed be supportive while tailoring in the bombs.
The bomb to be loaded into is a Mk. 84 2000 pounder with a variety of features such as GPS and laser seeks for more accuracy at targeting, movable or immovable bomb fins for allowing steering or not respectively, fuzes for better contact or underground explosion.
The B-2 is also efficient enough to carry the world’s largest conventional bomb, the GBU-57 Mass Ordnance Penetrator and all other nuclear bombs including the B83 the most powerful nuclear bomb with a yield of 1,200 kilotons, which is “75 times more impactful than the bomb dropped in Hiroshima in 1945 with a yield of just 16 kilotons.”
