Sony has finally stated that it’s gonna bring the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its Core Xperia Z3 and Z2. The word Core did confuse many of us as it could not unambiguously explain whether the update will be available to the full range of variants and devices. But few days back some comments made by Sony indicate that the updates will be for all.
Sony has never remained mum when asked about its plans for gadgets release and updates. Sony had already mentioned that the Android 5.0 Lollipop will roll out for copious number of Xperia devices. According to the authentic news channel Android Authority, we could learn that Sony is working exhaustively to let customers flash the AOSP Lollipop builds on their Xperia handsets while they wait for Sony’s OEM tweaked version.
This news has been received via Twitter from Sony’s Twitter account. A person named Sam Tomelleri tweeted Sony with a query to know when the Lollipop update will be made available to Xperia Z3. SOny replied to his tweet by saying, “We’ll start the upgrade at beginning of 2015 for the core Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z2 series.” This is a good news indeed. Now we have to wait to see if the update is brought to other variants as well.
