Recently there have been controversies regarding Hillary Clinton’s e-mails as she used her personal email account to send mails when she was the Secretary of State. And now there is a new politician email news. Lindsey Graham, the Republican South Carolina senator admitted that he has never sent an email in his life. Being a senator on subcommittee for Privacy, Technology and Law, he told Chuck Todd that “I don’t email. You can have every email I’ve ever sent; I’ve never sent one”, when he asked him at the “Meet the Press” whether he has even got a personal email account like Lady Clinton. He also added, “I’ve never sent one. I don’t know what that makes me.”
The 59 year old, Lindsey Graham has been serving as the U.S. Senator for 12 years has never used one of the most basic bits of technology that is available for the benefit of the mankind. Graham sits on four different high-profile subcommittees within the US Senate, including the Subcommittee on the Constitution; the Subcommittee on Oversight, Agency Action, Federal Rights and Federal Courts; and the Subcommittee on Privacy, Technology, and the Law. He is also chairman of the Subcommittee on Crime and Terrorism.
Graham mentioned that he prefers to call people or talk in person rather than sending an email. If anyone texts him, instead of replying him through sms, he calls up the person. In a campaign stop attended by the Bloomberg, he said, “I’m glad I don’t have the ability to say everything that comes to my mind instantly.”
It is quite disappointing that Lindsey, being in charge of technology does not personally use the basic technology or fully understand the thing that he is in charge of but he is interpersonal skills are quite impressive. “The next President of the United States needs to be good with people, not just technology.”
