Now it’s easier to life-cast with Meerkat, Periscope: New live video streaming apps gobble down data

Well there are so many moments in your life that you want to capture it and share with your near ones and your followers. Now, there is no need to worry for this. To fill this gap, new livestreaming apps Meerkat and Periscope have been introduced. Both apps have only been live for a few weeks, and both apps allow your phone to shoot live-streams that your followers can watch in real-time. There are two apps that make it really easy to live stream whatever you’re doing, wherever you are.

Meerkat

If you are still not aware of these new apps, let me give you a short description about Meerkat and Periscope. Meerkat is on the popularity in early March at the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas when tech journalists broadcasted the live program. Twitter has launched the Periscope last week. Now, the curiosity is which one to choose? Well the two apps have been tested and it has been measured “usage of over 250 megabytes of data an hour for Periscope and over 400 megabytes an hour for Meerkat.”
Recording and instantaneously streaming video could actually be the most taxing thing you can do with an app. These apps no doubt helps people to share live moments but it chew through the data. For these features, one should need bigger data plans. Livestreaming isn’t the only data-gobbling genre of app but it has been seen and calculated that moderately heavy Meerkat users will blow through as much data in a single hour as most people use in a month. If you don’t have any unlimited data plans, it will be pretty painful to pay the bills.
