Intel has revealed Thunderbolt 3, the new generation USB Port for laptops which will bring a new era of superfast data transfer and reversible port. Thunderbolt 3 aims to provide the most versatile connection to any dock, display, or peripheral devices like USB devices.
The Thunderbolt 3 USB ports will enable devices to connect two 4K 60 Hz displays with extremely elegant resolution, contrast, and color depth to access photos, texts, apps and mane more. With Thunderbolt 3 port, a single port provides compatibility for two 4K 60 Hz displays, and quick notebook charging up to 100 W with a single cable. These ports are so fast, that they can support seamless gaming experience over the plug and play external graphics.
According to Thunderbolt 3, it also provides “peer-to-peer connection at 10 GbE speeds to quickly transfer files between computers, perform PC migrations, or set up small workgroups with shared storage. Solutions and products built to Thunderbolt and Thunderbolt 2 specifications will work with Thunderbolt 3 via an adapter.”
The Intel powered USB C Ports will make its way to laptops and computers by the end of this year or early 2016.
