Technology giants like Microsoft, Apple and Google earn surprisingly huge amounts of money in a single quarter of a fiscal year and a recent study revealed some interesting statistics regarding the amount of money Microsoft generates per employee For the fiscal year of 2013. It was revealed that a single employee earned $220,800 in net income and $786,400 revenue. The fiscal year of 2013 spanned from June 2012 to June 2013.
The statistic revealed huge figures since the number of employees in Microsoft when the study was done was 100,000. The figure was compared to the two leading giants Apple and Google and to your surprise the value was smaller. Apple brought in $461,200 in net income and $2,128,400 in revenue per employee while Google brought in $270,500 in net income and $1,252,700 in revenue per employee in the fiscal year of 2013.
Google has about 48,000 employees and Apple has around 80,000. This number shows that why rumors spread that Microsoft may cut down 10% of its existing man power. Microsoft is however ahead of other contemporary companies like Oracle and IBM. More information could be gathered on July 22 as Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella would speak on company’s income and others.
