Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are now reigning gloriously in different markets across the world. The devices have not yet started shipping in some parts but the interesting thing about present day technology is that it waits for none. No matter how nascent this S8 devices are, speculation has started building up around the S9 series. There has been conjectures that details of S9 and S9+ have already surfaced.
According to a recent publication by a Korean news channel The Investor, Samsung is working in collaboration with Qualcomm in launching the Galaxy S9 handsets next year. The new chip to be integrated in the phone will be known as Snapdragon 845. The news has also been cited in Aju Business Daily.
We already know that Samsung has collaborated with Qualcomm for bringing out Galaxy S8 devices. The S8 and S8 Plus are the two devices which will be releasing with Snapdragon 835. Now as for Snapdragon 845, it will be built by either Samsung or Taiwanese manufacturer TSMC. Now we have to wait and watch what fruits bore out of the Samsung-Qualcomm partnership.
Even though the news of the partnership and S8 series come from different reliable news publications, yet the news is not confirmed. Last year, rumor speculated that the new chipset will be called Snapdragon 830 but later it was called Snapdragon 835 and not 830.
