No sooner was the first look of Xperia Z3 Compact was leaked, than the specifications are brought out of the covers. The leaks were tweeted by DooMLord containing an image and then a screenshot of the About Device tab of the handset. Among the specs the 2 GB RAM is behind Xperia Z2. So it can’t be guaranteed if Z3 Compact will meet up to the expectation after Xperia Z2. The device will have a model number D580x where x represents the variant number maintaining the nomenclature followed by Sony.
The handset is rumored to sport 4.5 inch screen, Quad core Snapdragon 801 processor from Qualcomm with processor speed 2.5 GHz, Graphics chip Adreno 330 with the resolution of display is 720p HD. The most impressive feature of the lot is the 20.7 MP rear camera and a decent 2.1 MP camera for video conferencing and clicking selfies. So it’s evident that Sony places special emphasis on the quality of optical sensors. The device runs Android 4.4.4 and 3.4.0 kernel.
The miniature flagship phone has been rumored to be showcased in Berlian IFA during fall of 2014. Some following leaks gave us a glimpse of the front panels that appears to be in both black and white with slim side bezels and chunky top and bottom sides. Till now the device is expected to use the OmniBalance design language used by Sony. But confirmation can be done when anything official is announced.
