Spotify has been talk of town since launched and has bought a fresh breath in today’s music apps! With Spotify, it’s easy to find the right music for every moment – on your phone, your computer, your tablet and more. Spotify provides you with one of the best-looking Windows Phone apps when chosen to stream your music. As for those of you who stream to your desktops, the Spotify HTML5 web player worked just fine, as did its native Windows application, unless you were using the latter on a touch screen, until now.
With millions of tracks on board, Spotify could be used in almost every part of your day to day life. So whether you’re working out, partying or relaxing, the right music is always at your fingertips. Choose what you want to listen to, or let Spotify surprise you!! It also provides with options to browse through the music collections of friends, artists and celebrities, or create a radio station and just sit back.
A recent update to the Spotify Windows application made it touch friendly so you can now scroll and navigate your way around the app intuitively, without having to rely on the scroll bars or a mouse/trackpad. Unfortunately, the app is still not optimized for high-DPI displays, so its UI elements will either look fuzzy when scaled up, or tiny when scaling is disabled. But adding touch support is a good first step.
Following are some of the highlighting updates in new version:
• Add keyboard navigation (arrow keys and Enter) for the side-bar menu
• Ensure the Delete key works for deleting playlists in the side-bar menu
• Fix for crash when adding Lyrics
• Context menu for items in the Friends Feed
• Not requiring username and password for Proxy Settings
• Improve adding of many tracks to a new empty playlist
• And lots of other bug fixes to stabilize the app
