Xiaomi held an announcement event in China, where the Chinese company announced three new gadgets and also talked about some more realistic products, going to hit the market soon. One of the devices, announced by Xiaomi is the new Mi 9 Pro 5G.
For Mi users, this has been a highly coveted handset as it promised to bring fast charging along with other lucrative features. The device is capable of charging at 40W via wired connection and wirelessly at 30W respectively. Another intriguing feature is the reverse charging ability at 10W, which is faster than most of the competitors. The handset can charge up to full power in 48 minutes via wired connection, and in 69 minutes wirelessly.
Mi 9 Pro 5G packs a Snapdrgaon 855+ chipset. It brings 5G support and is expected to be compatible with all Chinese carriers. Now coming to storage, it has a humongous 12 GB RAM and a commendable 512GB of internal storage. There are other variants with different storage capacity. The price will vary accordingly. Another interesting feature is the high-end vapor chamber cooling system. It deploys graphite sheet and copper foil to solve the overheating issue.
The camera system is also pretty good. The phone will have a triple camera setup on the back with a 48MP primary camera, a 16MP ultra-wide camera, and a 12MP telephoto lens. It brings a plethora of modes, AI powered tracking ability, Mimoji, etc. The device sports a 6.39-inch Full HD+ panel, with a Dot Drop display cutout for the selfie camera.
A customized linear motor has been carefully crafted for vibration facilitates “stronger vibration and shorter response time”.
The Mi 9 Pro 5G price will differ based on the variants configuration. The 8GB+128GB model costs ¥3,699 (roughly $520), the 8GB+256GB variant goes for ¥3,799 ($534), the 12GB+256GB configuration costs ¥4,099 ($577), and the top-end 12GB+512GB edition will run you ¥4,299 ($605).
